Zapatat® was founded in 2009. We wanted to lower the cost and improve quality, making tattoo removal available to more people so in 2012 we spent over a year perfecting a method that flips tattoo removal on its head — transforming the process from two to three years and 12-20 treatments into 3-6 sessions in just one to two years, in most cases, especially for skin types I-IV (Fitzpatrick Scale). Three months after your first ART® treatment, we invite you back — not just for another appointment, but for a moment of truth. This is when we see how far your tattoo has faded, how your skin has responded, and how your body’s unique healing power has worked for you.
With ART®, the results can range from 30% to 80% removal after just one treatment. That’s because every tattoo tells its own story — different inks, different depths, different colors — and every immune system clears ink at its own pace.
At your follow-up, we’ll look closely at your progress. If your tattoo is ready for another ART® session, we’ll move forward right then and there. If your skin and immune system are still working their magic, we might recommend waiting a few more months to get the maximum fading before your next ART®.
When you come in for your third visit, we’ll reassess together. At that point, we’ll decide whether to continue with ART® or shift to conventional single pass treatments to finish the job.

Why does ART® work so fast?
Because each ART® session isn’t just one pass with a laser — it’s four. Each carefully timed pass goes deeper, breaking the ink into smaller and smaller fragments while giving your body the time it needs to flush them away. One ART® session delivers the kind of fading you’d normally need five–six conventional treatments to achieve. Over the next few months, your immune system does the heavy lifting but the fading will continue for a year or more.

Pricing
One ART® session delivers results equal to five or six single-pass treatments. That means faster fading, fewer visits, and ultimately a lower overall cost for you.
Because ART® sessions are spaced at least 90 days apart, the cost spread over time often works out to be less than your daily Starbucks coffee.
For larger, heavily inked, or scarred tattoos — or for clients who want the fastest possible removal with the fewest visits — multiple ART® sessions may be recommended. A second or third ART® treatment is a cost-effective way to dramatically speed up your results.
